Hosting and server logs

This website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in a data center in Germany. A data processing agreement with Hetzner is in place.

The web server writes a log entry for each request: IP address, time, requested page, browser identifier, and the page visited before. This data keeps the operation safe and helps to examine attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The logs are deleted after 30 days.

No cookies

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. For this reason it shows no cookie banner.

Analytics

The website counts page views with PostHog. The data stays in the EU cloud of PostHog in Frankfurt. The operator is PostHog Inc.; a data processing agreement with PostHog is in place.

The measurement works without cookies and stores nothing on your device. A visitor who comes back counts as a new visitor. The website transmits the page path and two interactions with the product preview. The IP address is part of the transmission for technical reasons. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the measurement of reach.

Contact by email

When you send us an email, we process your data to answer the request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR when the request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We delete the email when the request is closed and no retention duty applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21). For this, write to kontakt@simplesec.de.
